AFC Champions League: Al Hilal Dominates 10-Man Mumbai City FC with 2-0 Victory

Mumbai: Mumbai City lost to Saudi club Al Hilal in the home match of AFC Champions League Group D. Mumbai City was defeated by two goals to none in the match held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

Michael Delgado (62nd minute) and former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic (85th minute) netted for Hilal. Earlier in the away match in Jeddah, Hilal defeated Mumbai City by six goals to none. Mumbai City are currently at the bottom of Group D. They lost all four matches they played.

Mumbai suffered a setback when defender Mehtab Singh was sent off at the start of the second half. In the first half, Mumbai stood up to the mighty Hilal with a good performance. In the 54th minute, Mehtab got a second yellow card for fouling Ruben Neves and went out. With this, Mumbai reduced to ten people.

After that, it was seen that the Saudi club took control of the game. Al Hilal is first in the group with 10 points from four matches with three wins and one draw. Hilal’s Brazilian superstar Neymar was not available to play.
