Doha: The authorities are making some minor modifications to the venues of the AFC Asian Cup 2024. The organizers have come up with a new reform aimed at making the competition venues of the Asian Cup tobacco-free. Sports tournaments are held. With the aim of promoting a healthy environment, the Ministry of Public Health and the local organizing committee have decided to make the tournament venues tobacco-free.

Smoking is not allowed inside the stadium. An external system will be prepared for that. All fans will have an opportunity to watch the tournament. The ban on smoking has been decided as part of the opportunity to enjoy the tournament. Jassim Al Jaida, Sustainability Communication and Stakeholder Manager, clarified this.

Fans will sit inside the stadium and watch the fans smoke during the game. During matches, fans will check inside the stadiums to see if anyone is smoking. Inspectors from the Ministry of Public Health will monitor this. Signs will be posted at venues showing the dangers of smoking.
