From Wednesday August 24, 2022the Sports Network (RDS) will broadcast live the weekly show Dynamite from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) with commentary in French for Quebec wrestling fans.
Airing Wednesday nights since October 2, 2019 in the United States, AEW’s flagship show continues to grow in popularity and it is with great enthusiasm that RDS returns to professional wrestling on TV and on the web. .
Because this return of wrestling in French to the large RDS family comes with a dose of innovation.
RDS EST ALL ELITE
Starting August 24, Dynamite’s live broadcast will take place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on RDS.ca for RDS subscribers. When the schedule allows, the broadcast will also be live on RDS or RDS2, otherwise, a broadcast will be scheduled a little later on Wednesday evening in addition to possible rebroadcasts during the week.
For example, during the first broadcast on August 24, the broadcast will be live simultaneously on RDS.ca and on RDS2.
So, in short…
RDS.ca/en-direct : live broadcast every Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
RDS / RDS2 on TV: live when the grid allows it, otherwise later in the evening
As for Ballecourbe.ca, the site will be your meeting place for wrestling news and all the news concerning the broadcast of AEW on RDS. The page Facebook The fight at RDS will also be more active with this return to the air, just like the fight podcast Le Petit Paquet.
On the animation, Stéphane Morneau and Benoît Cossette will take over the collar following the three years of broadcasts of the Ring of Honor and the IWS on the airwaves of RDS before the forced stop by the COVID-19. Unlike this previous appointment, Dynamite will be every week and not once a month.
Jean-François Kelly will be, for his part, a special contributor to the show with a few surprises up his sleeves.
Dynamite at RDS
As for the broadcast of Dynamite on RDS.ca and on RDS television, it will be an identical version to the one produced in the United States, except for the presence of French-speaking commentators instead from the AEW broadcast team.
As it will all be live, there will be no cuts or removed segments. It was, according to the team behind the production in Quebec, imperative not to present a watered down version of this growing company. For the province’s wrestling fans, the team wanted all or nothing with the broadcast of Dynamite and it’s finally a reality: RDS will be All Elite starting August 24th.
This announcement is in addition to the coming of the AEW in Canada for the first time in its history next October.
