In the past five years, this place has gone from a “white paper” to a lot of tower cranes, and has entered a critical period of undertaking the unwinding of Beijing’s non-capital functions and the simultaneous promotion of large-scale development and construction. In this “city of the future”, which carries a thousand-year plan, the external backbone road network has been fully opened, and the internal backbone road network system has basically been formed; the urban framework is being fully opened, and a number of landmark projects have been put into use.
The millennium plan, traffic first. After five years of construction, the traffic in Xiongan New Area has expanded in all directions. The interconnected road network provides strong support for the large-scale construction of the new district and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation network.
Haiyue Street in Xiongan New Area is a landscape avenue running through Xiongan New Area from east to west. At the same time, Haiyue Street is also the “one horizontal” connecting the northernmost side of the road in the “four horizontal and twelve vertical” groups in the starting area of Xiongan New Area. After completion, Haiyue Street is regarding 14.7 kilometers long, with two-way 6-lane, and the design speed is 60 kilometers per hour. Now, the road project has entered the final stage, and the workers on site are working hard. After the street is completed, vehicles can directly enter the start-up area of Xiongan New Area from Jingxiong Expressway.
At present, the backbone road network and transportation network system of the two rings inside and outside the Xiongan New Area have been basically formed.
In terms of external transportation in Xiongan, in May 2021, the Hebei section of Jingxiong Expressway, the Rongwu New Line, the first phase of Jingde Expressway and other external channels and ordinary trunk lines were opened to traffic, marking the full opening of the “four vertical and three horizontal” traffic arteries in Xiongan New Area. . Among them, Jingxiong Expressway is also equipped with the first intelligent expressway dedicated lane in China, which can realize the on-road operation of unmanned buses and connected fleets.
In addition, the light poles beside the Jingxiong Expressway are integrated with smart devices such as visibility detectors and smart dedicated cameras, which can automatically adjust the lighting brightness according to the level of visibility. At the same time, there is also a vehicle-road coordination system on the light pole, which can provide vehicle owners with multiple services such as vehicle-road communication, high-precision navigation and early warning of merging areas.
In terms of external rail transit, on December 27, 2020, the Beijing-Xiong Intercity Railway was put into operation.
In the future, Xiongan New Area will become an important highway and rail transit hub.
