With two very…strong films (“Bob Marley: One Love” and “Priscilla”), the “Apollon” Municipal Cinema in Aigio continues its screening program.

-The life of the king of reggae, Bob Marleyfrom his international acclaim in the 70s to his untimely death at the age of 36, we will follow in the film ‘Bob Marley: One Love’.

Bob Marley’s family hopes a new biopic regarding the superstar singer, who popularized reggae music with his catchy melodies and spiritual and socially conscious lyrics, will help revive his legacy.
Produced by his wife Rita Marley and their children Ziggy and Cedella, the film also features Brad Pitt as executive producer.

-Even without a big prize from this year’s Venice festival, its promotion «Priscilla» by Sofia Coppola would be a big event. Based on Priscilla Presley’s own memoir, Elvis and Me, the film takes a bold and determined look at Priscilla’s relationship with Elvis, when he was already a legendary star and she was a teenage girl. The film had its world premiere at the Venice festival, where, in addition to positive reviews and parallels with the overlooked at the time “Marie Antoinette”, it also won the female performance award for the until yesterday unknown protagonist, Kaylee Spaney, who plays the difficult, demanding role of teenage Priscilla.

– French director Laurent Cante returns to the big screen once more this year with his eighth feature film “Arthur Rambo”, which is recommended by the Cinematographic Club of Aigio. At the center, the story of a young Arab writer from the suburbs who is successful in the Parisian media. But his past is dark. He has made homophobic and anti-Semitic tweets, which lead to his downfall. Inspired by a radio commentator, Kante created the character of Karim, whose social media alter ego is Arthur Rambo.
