The IFTS Fluid-Fluid Porometer is a high-tech laboratory instrument designed to measure pore size distribution down to 4 nm at very low pressure. Its capabilities include determining average pore diameter, studying pore size distribution, measuring solvent permeability, and evaluating bubble point and droplet point.

Principle of the Gas-Liquid test

A gas is injected into a wet filter media. The gas pressure is increased and the porometer then measures the differential pressure of the media as well as the flow rate of the gas passing through the media.

Principle of Liquid-Liquid test

The filter media is soaked in test liquid No. 1. The pressure of test liquid #2 is increased and the porometer then measures the differential pressure of the media as well as the flow rate of liquid #2 passing through the media.
