He also added that the patient arrived at the hospital suffering from severe abdominal pain, difficulty in bowel movements, and significant weight loss. He was subjected to laboratory tests and a diagnostic lower and upper colonoscopy upon his arrival.
He pointed out that the tests confirmed the presence of a colon tumor measuring 5 cm in length, and the presence of a drop in the level of hemoglobin in the blood. A sample was immediately taken from the tumor to be sent to the laboratory, and the result proved that its type was cancerous, so the man’s life was quickly saved by Al-Habib Hospital.
Dr. Omar Al-Obaid said that the medical efforts were successful and confirmed that the patient received superior medical care within 6 days while he was in the hospital, and was then discharged home in good health following his health condition improved and he returned to living his life.
