In Congo-Brazzaville, the vote for the legislative elections of July 10 started, in anticipation, this Monday July 4, 2022, for the agents of the army, the police and the gendarmerie. If on the whole the operations started without incident, the Electoral Commission noted some shortcomings, in particular in two constituencies of the western Cuvette (north-west) where the offices will open earlier this Tuesday.

Wearing their berets, wearing their uniforms, voter cards and military identity certificate in hand, the elements of the Republican Guard were the most numerous to vote in the first office from the center of the Nganga Edouard school. Before going to the voting booth, they were all entitled to explanations of vote by the main assessor of this office where we counted more than 1,200 registered: “ Legislative elections. Here we have four candidates and you are going to choose one of them. You tick below either with the X sign or the + sign. That’s all. »
In front of the buildings housing the second and third offices, there is an athletics track where the candidates for the baccalaureate took practical physical education tests at the same time. Scheduled for 7 a.m. local time, the vote started earlier, according to this national observer who requested anonymity: “ It started at 6:30 a.m. and we see that there is discipline. I am at the first office where I see our law enforcement friends voting. We can say that on the whole it is going well. »
In the landlocked constituencies of Mbomo and Mbama in the western Cuvette, the delivery of election materials has been delayed. There, the police will perform their civic duty on Tuesday, according to the Electoral Commission.
