This couple from Texas, USA is not like most dating people who live in big cities. Keylin Akuchie and Eleazer Akuchie chose not to commit adultery and avoid romantic things that might lead to sex.
Eleazer and Keylin, who are now his wives, admit that they are in a healthy relationship. The religious couple admitted to holding off on kissing until they were married. They admit that they have a great sexual desire when dating, but both of them have ways to avoid adultery.
Keylin said that when they were dating they chose to go out together rather than just the two of them. If it’s a date together, Keylin and Eleazer avoid going out in a romantic atmosphere. They choose outdoor activities such as rock climbing and hiking. The two of them also often pray together and ask God to keep away from lust before the wedding.
“I’ve never kissed anyone before. I want the first person I kiss to be the person I marry. It means a lot to me even though some people see it as extreme,” said Eleazer, the 24-year-old man.
“When we finally kissed on our wedding day, it was great fun even though now that we’re married, I still forgot we might kiss!” added Eleazer.
The couple met in college
at the Christ For The Nations Institute, Dallas, in 2019. The two then started dating in 2021. Two years later, in 2023 they finally married and only had physical contact following two years of delay.
“We just want to know each other and connect emotionally and spiritually before there is physical touch,” said Keylin.
Eleazer suggested for other young couples to do the same as him. Dating by avoiding adultery is said to have many advantages.
“It allows you to establish an emotional connection and develop stability. Physical intimacy can seem like it can mask problems, but it doesn’t encourage us to mature emotionally towards one another,” explains Eleazer.
