Caught in a fall at the start of the fourteenth stage, Adrien Petit, hit in the left leg, started once more and was able to finish the race. The French must take exams tonight to find out if he will leave tomorrow.

– How do you feel ?

“I think it’s okay, I managed to cross the line. But tomorrow will be different I think. It was a hard day. »

– Tell us regarding this fall, what happened?

“It was a skating rink, like summer ice. It went down, I saw that it was falling so I tried to go to the right and I fell into a ditch with rocks. I felt that there was nothing broken directly, but we will see if there are no stitches to be made at the ankle. My tibia was already swollen but not broken according to the doctor. »

– You took a long time to get up…

“They told me to sit down just to do the bandages. After more than 4000 meters of elevation gain having taken a bowl like that, it was not easy, but fortunately the public was there to encourage me. Everyone realized that I was in pain. My only goal was to finish. The race doctors wanted me to stop when they saw my shin. I told them that I wanted to go back and that I would see how I felt. It hurt me but I managed to finish. I will take stock tonight to see if I continue or not. »
