Adrián Lastra has left his followers with their hearts in their mouths after suffering a spectacular motorcycle accident that almost cost him part of his hand. The actor, known for his role in Velvet and El Desafío, underwent emergency surgery and now, although he is out of danger, he faces a long recovery.
The accident, which took place last Tuesday, left Lastra with several fractures and serious injuries. “I had to have plastic surgery on my left hand, index finger and ring finger… there was a risk of amputation, but they managed to save them!” the actor said. In addition, his left foot was also damaged with an open fracture and his little finger was dislocated, requiring another operation.
Despite the circumstances he finds himself in, the actor has tried to downplay the accident. “I was very lucky… well, between luck and the fact that I’m strong too,” Lastra commented on social media.
The image that the actor has published from the hospital is shocking to say the least: he appears lying on a stretcher, with one leg, one arm and one hand completely bandaged, surrounded by electrodes and wearing nasal goggles. However, true to his optimistic nature, Lastra has learned a positive lesson from the experience: “First of all, Adri, YOU ARE OK, don’t worry!… And above all, with a scare everything can go down the drain, so why should I worry so many times about absurd things.”
He will do ‘Grease’ no matter what
Due to the severity of his injuries, the actor has been forced to cancel his participation in the tour of the play Medusa, something that he has not been happy about. “OBVIOUSLY I can’t finish the tour… and it makes me very angry,” confessed Lastra, who had already been accumulating injuries.
Despite everything, Lastra has not lost her enthusiasm for her upcoming projects and has enthusiastically announced her return to the stage, regardless of her physical condition: “At the end of September I AM PREMIERE THE MUSICAL OF GREASE at the APOLO THEATRE IN MADRID!!!”
