Adrià Collado returns to ‘La que se avecina’ and will meet Luis Merlo for the first time since ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’

Season 15 of ‘La que se avecina’ is going to bring us a reunion that many have been waiting for years. According to exclusive reports from the colleagues of FormulaTVAdrià Collado returns for the second time to the series by Alberto Caballero and Laura Caballero, and therefore, will coincide in the series with Luis Merlo, a nostalgic reunion that takes us back years.

Adrià Collado and Luis Merlo were Fernando and Mauri in ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’, a gay couple that became iconic and an LGBTIQ+ reference in Spain for the way in which homosexuality was treated at a fundamental moment for the collective in our country. Since the series ended in 2006, Collado and Merlo had not coincided on screen again, despite the fact that both have been participating in ‘La que se avecina’ since then.

Adrià Collado was in the first two seasons playing Sergio Arias, and returned sporadically in the sixth, only to leave again later. Luis Merlo, on the other hand, was not part of the cast until the ninth season, so his character, Bruno Quiroga, has never met Sergio. We’ll see if they share any plot together or if the Caballero brothers look for the formula to leave some wink that will delight the fans of ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’.

More returns in a special season

Adrià Collado will not be the only notable return to Contubernio, 49. María Adánez also returns to the series as the lawyer Rebeca Ortiz, a character introduced in the seventh season and who left in the eighth for script reasons.

All these returns could be linked to putting the final finishing touch to the series. There are many rumors that point to the fact that ‘La que se avecina’ will end, this time yes, with the fifteenth season. Although it is not yet official, the last farewell messages of the actors after the end of filming could be a clue.
