Adoption of the region’s draft budget for 2023

The Casablanca-Settat region’s draft budget for the year 2023 was unanimously adopted on Monday during the October ordinary session of the region’s council.

Revenues are estimated for this financial year at 1,406,175,175.78 DH, while management expenses amount to 203,223,003.36 DH.

It was also decided to program the surplus for the year 2023 in addition to the reprogramming of funds. This session, held in accordance with the provisions of Law 111-14 relating to the regions, particularly Article 36, was also devoted to the examination and unanimous adoption of the PDR for the Casablanca-Settat region 2022-2027.

It was also proceeded during this session, marked by the presence of the representatives of the local authorities, to the examination and the adoption of a draft partnership agreement for the realization of the works of equipment of Douar Zaouia (province of Nouaceur) in drinking water and the establishment of a sports area in the municipality of Ouled Azzouz.

The project of a partnership agreement between the council of the region and the association of Andalusian music lovers in Morocco was also adopted in addition to an agreement relating to the realization of an integrated development program for the municipality of Benhmed ( province of Settat).

This session was also punctuated by the modification of several agreements relating in particular to the creation of a social complex for the integration of women (commune of Médiouna) and the redevelopment of main roads, and the construction of a regional complex of training and development of skills in the field of health.

Speaking on this occasion, the President of the Council of the region, Abdellatif Maazouz, indicated that this is an ordinary session with extraordinary characteristics, recalling the adoption of the draft budget of the region in addition to the programming of the excess.

He added that the new composition of human resources in the region will contribute to the acceleration of the realization of projects, emphasizing the need to proceed intelligently to invest funds effectively.
