On Thursday, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced the award of contracts worth a total of 2.4 billion UAE dirhams ($653.5 million) related to the services of capping and isolating oil and gas wells with cement.
The contracts were awarded to 5 companies: “Halliburton Worldwide Limited – Abu Dhabi” (Halliburton), “Baker Middle East” (Baker), “Emirates Western for Drilling and Maintenance of Oil Wells”, “Neasr for Energy Services”, and “Emirates Western for Drilling and Maintenance of Oil Wells”. Emjal Oilfield Services”, according to an ADNOC statement posted on its website.
The contracts extend for a period of 5 years with an option to extend for two years with the same terms and conditions.
