The UAE is a reliable supplier of energy, and a major contributor to ensuring its security and sustainability of global supplies, in parallel with pioneering efforts and initiatives led by the country in the field of transformation in the energy sector, and the adoption of low-carbon solutions, in support of its strategy towards achieving climate neutrality by 2050, constants reaffirmed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, while chairing a meeting of the Board of Directors of ADNOC, which adopts a comprehensive approach to sustainability, by working to reduce emissions in current energy sources, through several steps, the latest of which was the announcement of the establishment of a new sector for low-carbon solutions, along with Investing in future clean energy sources.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also stressed the important role of ADNOC in the UAE’s development march, by supporting the economy and stimulating growth and expansion of investments with initiatives, the most important of which is the national added value program, which succeeded this year in redirecting more than 35 billion dirhams to the economy. Local, and the “Make in the UAE” initiative, with the aim of creating local manufacturing opportunities worth more than 25 billion dirhams, in addition to the company’s role in providing thousands of job opportunities for citizens in the private sector.
Thanks to the support of the wise leadership, ADNOC has succeeded in strengthening the UAE’s position as a responsible and reliable energy provider, a pioneer in diversifying clean and renewable energy sources, and an economic institution with a comprehensive development vision that balances energy production and emissions reduction to the maximum extent, and continues to achieve growth and progress rates. The world is keen on its efforts in searching for solutions to the challenges that guarantee the achievement of energy security, as it is a basic pillar of economic and social progress.
