The grouped national phase of the Moov Africa Pro Handball League of Benin started last Tuesday. In total, ten clubs (4 for Ladies and 6 for Men) are competing until August 13 at the Hall of Arts, Leisure and Sports in Cotonou. The second day was played yesterday. In terms of results, the players of Adidja HBC made up for it by beating their counterparts from ABO Sports 30-15. Flowers beat the Buffaloes in extremis with a score of 33-32. ASPAC beat ASO Model by the score of 25-24. In the ladies, ASO Model was defeated by ASPAC 34-18. The Ladies of Flowers beat their counterparts of Flambeau with a score of 36 to 20. This group phase continues today with new meetings. It will end next Saturday.
According to the President of the Professional League Clarisse Hounzali Houngbedji, “The training is made to allow the teams to cross paths with each other and to allow each of them to have possible competitions, as many physical conditions which give them the possibility to measure themselves better in away competitions”.
