A scene turned into a meme, a meme that became a legend, a legend now made into sneakers. Adidas finally launches in August, after almost a year of waiting, the Adidas Stan Smith Homer Simpson, in honor of the head of the most beloved family in Springfield.

The meme in question, Homer hiding behind the bushes, corresponds to episode 16 of the fifth season, titled Homer loves Flanders, episode number 97 overall. It was written by David Richardson and directed by Wes Archer.

It originally aired on March 17, 1994.

The Adidas Stan Smith Homer Simpson was first revealed in the fall of 2022, and will finally go on sale in August 2023. Let’s take a closer look at what these sneakers look like.

So are the Adidas Stan Smith Homer Simpson shoes

The main characteristic is that, on the heel tab of the shoe, Homer appears embroidered in the middle of a thick green chenille.

The shoe is predominantly white, in the style of the OG Stan Smith, with gold Homer Simpson branding on the side and portrait on the top of the tongue, replacing Stan Smith with the great Homer.

Its laces are also white, and instead of the traditional Adidas three stripes are three sets of diagonal perforations.

The template of the Adidas Stan Smith Homer Simpson are green like the bush of the meme, with the Adidas label and the name The Simpsons, which appears in each intro of the series.
