Adidas has released ‘ADIDAS RPT-02 SOL’, a wireless headphone that uses sunlight to charge batteries.
The ADIDAS RPT-02 SOL was created in collaboration with Exeger, a Swedish solar technology company, and has a built-in solar headband called Powerfoyle. The Powerfoyle gets its energy from both natural and artificial light.
IT media whathifi reported to Urbanista Pair that playback is possible for 1 hour in clear weather and up to 3 hours in sunlight, and 2 hours in cloudy weather. The basic usage time is up to 80 hours when the battery is fully charged. Charging the battery requires up to 2 hours (USB-C) for wired charging.
In addition, as it focuses on the outdoor market, it supports IPX4 water-resistance and sweat-resistance, and a maximum connection distance of 10m through Bluetooth 5.2. The unit driver is 45mm.
