Umi Pipik as a mother, explained regarding Adiba Khanza and Egy Maulana Vikri’s marriage ceremony which was held behind closed doors from the media.
“In Islam, men and women cannot be united in this contract. So I still have to emphasize to the WO that women must be separated first and not allowed to leave, let the men go first,” said Umi Pipik when met following the thanksgiving and siraman event. Adiba Khanza in the Depok area, West Java, last night.
“Let there be blessings there. God willing, tomorrow many teachers will die. Just pray that things will go smoothly,” continued Umi Pipik.
Before the wedding, Adiba Khanza have held various traditional events. Umi Pipik explained that on Friday (8/12) Adiba Khanza along with members of her extended family and Egy’s extended female family had already had a henna night. The event was held as a Malay tradition from the Egy Maulana Vikri family.
“Last night, my extended family, Egy’s extended family gathered for henna night. After that this morning there was a siraman event, thanksgiving. Yes, that’s all, asking for blessings and prayers from parents,” said Umi Pipik.
Saturday (9/12) the procession was carried out by holding thanksgiving and siraman. Umi Pipik felt many emotional moments during the thanksgiving and splashing moments.
“It must have been (very emotional) when Adiba asked for permission, asked for blessings. Make sure her name is a mother, we as mothers have entrusted our task to Allah to accompany us, not to own us, to accompany us when we are in the womb, to educate us, to care for us, until the time the child is born who proposed,” said Umi Pipik.
“So at that time, God willing, tomorrow (wedding), as parents we can only be happy, pray, give advice so that my daughter will be a good wife, pious, obedient wife,” he said.
Umi Pipik felt even more moved when she saw Abidzar Al Ghifari, who replaced the figure of the late Uje, carrying her older brother, Adiba Khanza, following the shower. Even at that moment, Umi Pipik saw Abidzar Al Ghifari, who is famous for being a prankster, also shed tears.
“I also used to do that when I married the deceased, using Javanese customs, so I was carried by my father because (Uje) was no longer there so Abidzar was a relaxed person, he was having fun, so he kept playing with his older brother, but at the time of Sungkeman he was crying,” he said. Umi Pipik.
“When Abidzar hugged Adiba he cried, Adiba also cried when he hugged his younger siblings. They felt happy, letting go of their older siblings, who from childhood until now have always been together,” he said.
