DEPUTY Secretary General (Wasekjen) of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Adian Napitupulu, criticized the composition of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka cabinet.

“First it was too big. That would be difficult. So it’s like this, when there are too many tables, the bureaucracy will be long. “Long bureaucracy will be a burden for licensing for investment, etc., it’s simple, you know,” said Adian, at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10).

“Previously there were 34 tables, now there are 42 tables. That’s adding tables, right? Adding tables means adding bureaucracy, adding bureaucracy means adding processes. Adding processes means increasing time. Adding time means adding new burdens. That’s all,” he stressed.

Adian emphasized that there is not yet a budget that needs to be provided. As a member of a political party, Adian said that his party would continue to monitor whatever government policies.

“When we were together with Jokowi, we were one of the parties most critical of Jokowi, namely PDIP. We have a firm stance, really, “No, it’s not criticized,” he said.

Adian explained that his party supports the government, but he does not forget that the salary that goes into his pocket comes from people’s money. (D-3)
