The Contribution for Cultural Decentralization (Adesca), with the aim of providing support for cultural and artistic creation and dissemination, opened a call for financing activities to be carried out in 2024 in all departments of the country.
The call for applications is open to artists, cultural promoters, cultural managers and promoters, artisans, writers, academics, educators and interested individuals or groups without legal personality.
They can participate in activities that promote the creation, dissemination and appreciation of art in literature, visual arts, music, theatre, dance, popular arts, humanities, art and culture in the media, heritage preservation, education through art and cinema, lasting from 1 to 15 days maximum.
The deadline for carrying out these cultural activities must be October 31.
Those interested in participating must fill out the form available on the Adesca website or request it via WhatsApp at the numbers 3076-2060, 4544-8900 and 3009-3552.
The call for applications closes on September 30 and contributions are awarded according to financial availability.
Participation process
After completing the form, interested parties must send their applications virtually to the email [email protected] or physically to the Adesca offices, located at 7th Avenue, 11-67 zone 1, former Post Office building, office 110, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
You will then have to wait for notification of project approval to begin the technical, administrative and legal processes for the delivery of financing and the execution of activities.
Proposals will be received for a maximum budget of Q25 thousand.
Restrictions
Adesca will not finance the following:
- Payment of basic services, alcoholic beverages, salaries, fees of technical staff, stagehands, artists, management or administrative staff, acquisition of audiovisual equipment, office equipment or any inventory item, international airline tickets, or unforeseen events.
- Profit-making activities.
- Activities related to institutions and personnel that are budgetarily and administratively dependent on the Ministry of Culture and Sports. (Article 4, Law Establishing ADESCA, Decree No. 95-96).
- Activities whose beneficiaries are members of the Board of Directors, members of Project Selection Committees, ADESCA staff, and individuals or groups that involve conflicts of interest. (Article 10 of the regulations of the Law for the Creation of ADESCA, Government Agreement No. 854-2003 and its amendments).
- Beneficiaries who have received or declined support in the last three years will not be able to apply for financing.
- Recipients who have demonstrated deficiencies in the execution of previously funded activities will not be eligible to apply for funding.
Requirements to participate
Interested individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Request letter addressed to the ADESCA Board of Directors, signed by the applicant.
- Complete information on the activity according to the ADESCA format.
- Photocopy of the applicant’s current personal identification document (DPI).
- Photocopy of the registration in the updated Unified Tax Registry (RTU).
- Updated and signed resume of the applicant.
- Two quotes per service (items to be requested).
While organized groups without legal personality must meet the following requirements:
- Request letter addressed to the ADESCA Board of Directors, signed by the speaker.
- Complete information on the activity according to the ADESCA format.
- Photocopy of the updated registration in the Unified Tax Registry (RTU) of the representative.
- Updated and signed resume of the group representative.
- Two quotes per service (items to be requested).
