Adele: She interrupted her concert in Munich to see… the Olympics – 2024-08-07 04:36:17

The “Easy on Me” singer, 36, interrupted her concert in Munich on Saturday, August 3, to tune in to the women’s 100m final in Paris.

According to a video posted on social media, Adele stopped her concert to see who would take home the gold medal and share some words of encouragement for the athletes.

In the video, the singer is seen walking towards the back of the stage with her back to the audience. The camera stopped showing her movements on the giant screen and started showing the race.

In the video, the Olympic Narrator announced that Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred took first place in 10.72, with Team USA’s Sha’Carri Richardson finishing just behind her.

Upon seeing the winner, Adele told the audience: “Let’s give her a round of applause!” He added, “Let’s get on with the show. Fantastic, Saint Lucia!”

Another clip from a concert last night shows the 16-time Grammy winner talking about watching the Olympics. “… While I was watching world-class athletes, I would say, “Oh, that landing was a little awkward, wasn’t it? Oh, her legs weren’t really straight.” Meanwhile, if I tried any of what they’re doing, I’d be dead.”

The singer went on to praise gymnast Simone Biles for winning gold in gymnastics, saying she was “absolutely brilliant”.
