The strong ropes of friendship were linking the Egyptian star Adel Imam and his charming compatriot Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, but suddenly those ties were severed.
And the matter between the leader and the magician turned into a strange enmity, sometimes resurfacing in the form of television statements, and at other times in the form of strikes below the belt between distribution and production companies.
On the occasion of the birthday of leader Adel Imam, which fell on May 17, 2022, “Al-Ain News” sheds light on the dispute between the two stars, which struck the friendship between them in a murder.
The reasons for the dispute between Adel Imam and Mahmoud Abdel Aziz
The dispute between the leader and the magician began in the mid-eighties, following it was reported that the series “Raafat Al-Hajan” first nominated the leader, to win the championship following that, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and this situation caused great sensitivity between them.
The magician said in one of the television interviews regarding this dispute, “I met Adel by chance and we shook hands and he said to me, Uncle, if the camel is permissible for you… After a while, I found a call from the intelligence service confirming my nomination for the series, so I went to sign the contract.”
The dispute did not end with this situation, as it was renewed once more when Mahmoud Abdel Aziz stated in one of the programs that Adel Imam is not the first revenue star and that there are other heroes.
Adel Imam did not like this statement, and the magician interrupted for a long time, and reconciliation occurred between them following they met together at a wedding.
As for the third dispute, which caused an increase in the gap between them, it occurred because of the movie “Hassan and Morcos”, where they were scheduled to co-star, and the leader chose to write the work, author Youssef Maati, while the magician insisted that Waheed Hamid be responsible for writing the film. The idea was canceled and Adel Imam chose the late artist Omar Sharif to replace Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.
