Today, Thursday, Acting Director General of Public Security Major General Elias Al-Bisari stressed that, “The challenges are growing day by day, foremost of which is the issue of the displaced, and they must be addressed according to a practical plan in coordination with the Syrian government and the international community.”
He said, “I assure the Lebanese that passports are secured for all, and there is no need for haste.”
During a ceremony in the directorate, Al-Baisari added, “We are following up the file of the displaced Syrians, especially in terms of their resettlement in a third country, to confirm that Lebanon is a country of transit, not a country of asylum, and to hand over the data of the displaced without preconditions.”
