Mattannur: KP Abootty, 89, of Palottupally Hasanmukku, the Athar merchant who played the lead role in the National Film Award winning film ‘Adaminte Makan Abu’, has passed away. It ended yesterday morning.
In the film directed by Salim Ahmed, actor Salim Kumar portrayed his lifestyle. Salim also won the 2010 National Award for Best Actor for his role in the film. Wife: KK Subaida. Children: Muhammadali Shihab (Muscat), Shammas and Sumayya. Son-in-law: Muneer. Burial was performed.
