Adamczyková finished second in Sierra Nevada – ČT sport – Czech Television

Reigning world champion Adamczyk was accompanied by second places in the Sierra Nevada: she advanced from Friday’s qualification with the second time and was also second in all three races today. The former Olympic champion narrowly advanced from the semi-finals in a photo finish, and in the final she was just short of the British Charlotte Bankes.

“Considering how difficult the conditions were today, it turned out great. We had good weather in training, then it got worse, it started to blow,” said Adamczyková. “I’m happy that I kept second place, I already made a mistake in the last trap in the semi-final,” she returned to a tight finish with a happy ending in the penultimate run.

“I think my starts went well, I hope I will be able to keep them until tomorrow. I am happy for the boys, how they managed. I am looking forward to what they will show there tomorrow,” added the two-time Olympic medalist.

Adamczyková missed the first two December competitions due to her participation in the dance competition StarDance and participated in the SP at the end of January in Svaté Morice, where she immediately won. At the beginning of February, she was second and fifth in Gudauri, Georgia. In the running order of the series, the three-time overall winner has already moved to second place behind today’s third French Chloé Trespeuchová.

Kubicík and Houser had the best race of their careers, who followed up on a successful qualification in which they were third and fifth, and both advanced to the semi-finals for the first time in their careers. In it, they failed to advance and fought for second place in the small final, in which the 28-year-old Kubičík narrowly surpassed his partner who was a year younger.

“It’s an absolute bomb. I’m very happy,” Kubicík gushed following the life result, although he regretted not being able to confirm third place in the qualification. Houser was also enthusiastic. “I’m happy, full of impressions, because I managed to get to the small final. I struggled with the start in qualifying and in the races. The change in weather in the semi-final took me a little out of rhythm, I lost control, I made a mistake on the jump and it was impossible to catch up, but the small final is also great. It flashes to better times and I’m happy for the result,” said Houser.

The third Czech representative, Kryštof Choura, took a non-progressive third place in the heat of the round of 16 with Houser and finished twenty-second.
