Actress Shannen Doherty, star of Beverly Hills 90210, has died

American actress Shannen Doherty, who starred in the series Beverly Hills 90210 y Sorceressesdied at the age of 53 following a long battle with cancer, the specialized media reported on Sunday, July 14 People.

“It is with great sadness that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer,” Leslie Sloane, Doherty’s spokesperson, told the outlet.

The remembered actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. However, in November 2023 the artist announced that the disease had progressed faster than expected and had spread to her bones.

Sloane said that at the time of her death, the actress was in the company of her family.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” it said.

Shannen Doherty’s career
