Moscow. June 5th INTERFAX.RU – Soviet and Latvian theater and film actress, Honored Artist of the Latvian SSR Lilita Ozoliņa died on Monday in Latvia at the age of 75, LETA news agency was told at the Dailes theater.

Lilita Ozolinya was born on November 19, 1947 in Riga, she studied at the Studio of People’s Film Actors. In 1971 she graduated from the 4th studio of the Dailes Theatre, at the same time graduating from the theater department of the Latvian State Conservatory. Since 1966, she has worked at the Jan Rainis Art Theater and acted in films.

Ozolina became widely known for the role of Marta in the serial film “Long Road in the Dunes” (1980), for which she received the USSR State Prize in 1983. Then she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Latvian SSR.

The actress starred in many films, including A Brief Instruction in Love, The Private Life of Santa Claus (1982), Applause, Applause … (1984), Double Trap (1985).

After the collapse of the USSR, she worked at the Dailes Theater and the Riga Russian Drama Theater.
