Actress Lilian Klebow can’t say how often she has led someone away in handcuffs, but the 43-year-old is sure of one thing: Even after years as Penny Lanz in the “Soko Donau” team, she still has fun Manhunt. And that after more than 15 years of use.
“It’s always funny when you look back, watch old episodes again and notice everything that has changed over the years: the cast, the outfit of the inspectors, the setting, my character,” Klebow told the KURIER on a set visit.

The anniversary series is also the start of the new episodes of the 17th and 18th seasons. The case “The Big Mitsch” has been keeping the investigators busy on television since 2005 (ORF/ZDF) Feature-length crime series to be seen. So there’s a lot to do for the cops currently on duty, Andreas Kiendl (since season 15), Lilian Klebow (since season 1), Maria Happel (since season 6), Helmut Bohatsch (since season 1) and the new guy, Martin Gruber (since Season 17).
This time, alongside Sophie Allet-Coche, who is responsible for the anniversary episode, Katharina Heigl and Olaf Kreinsen as well as Holger Barthel (season 17) and Eva Spreitzhofer (season 18) are directing. Filming took place in Vienna, Lower Austria and Styria. The “Soko Donau” team has been filming the 19th season since May and has been moving into the next round. So it goes on… and on… and on…
