Subtlety, fine humor and a flair for the bizarre were just as much a part of her trademarks as her characteristically light, fragile voice, which she lent to the Burgtheater as a member of the ensemble from 1972. She also gained notoriety in film: in addition to “Kottan Investigated”, she was seen as Herta in the series “Julia – An Unusual Woman” for many years. Zeller, who was born on February 25, 1928, acted for the cinema in Michael Glawogger’s film “Die Ameisenstrasse” (1995), in Robert Dornhelm’s film “Der Unfisch” (1997) or in Xaver Schwarzenberger’s “Zuckeroma” (2004). In 2010 she appeared once more in Peter Patzak’s “Kottan determined: Rien ne va plus”, in 2011 she was in front of the camera in the Glavinic film adaptation of “How to Live” (Director: David Schalko). She was last seen on the big screen in 2016 in Chris Kraus’ “The Flowers of Yesterday”.
