Actor, theatre and dubbing director Wojciech Paszkowski has died – it was reported on Friday on the FilmPolski.pl website. In recent years, he was primarily an actor and dubbing director. The artist was 64 years old.
Wojciech Paszkowski was born on February 28, 1960 in Warsaw. In 1985 he graduated from the Acting Department of the A. Zelwerowicz State Drama School in Warsaw, defending his diploma in 1986.
He made his debut on November 27, 1984 on the stage of the Ateneum Theatre in Warsaw in “Bad Behavior” directed by Andrzej Strzelecki. In 1985 he was the winner of the collective award for the performance “Bad Behavior” at the 3rd National Review of Diploma Performances of Theatre Schools in Łódź.
He was a full-time actor at Estrada Stołeczna (1985-87) and the Rampa Theatre in Targówek (1987-2000). He also appeared as a guest in Warsaw theatres: Ateneum (1984-86), the “Roma” Musical Theatre (2000-04, 2015-21), the Studio Buffo Theatre (2004, 2011-15) and at the Grand Theatre in Łódź (2009), the D. Baduszkowa Musical Theatre in Gdynia (1996) and the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz (1996).
He was known for his work as the voice of Maurice in “Penguins of Madagascar” and “Madagascar”, as well as the voice of Mr. Ping in “Kung Fu Panda”. His most notable voice roles include Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from “Phineas and Ferb”, Mike Wazowski from “Monsters, Inc.”, Julius Caesar from “Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra” and Boba Fett from “Star Wars”.

He was a dubbing director for the animated series “Kicia Kocia” (2023), in which he also lent his voice to characters. In addition to dubbing numerous animated films, he was also a narrator for the documentaries “Easy Rider” (2016) and “Pułkownik House” (2018).
Paszkowski’s voice was also known in the gaming world, including “Diablo”, “Days Gone” and “Spider-Man”.
The actor played supporting roles in the series: “Na dobre i na złe” (For Better and for Worse) (Gruchała and doctor Janusz Szażyłło), “M jak miłość” (Franciszek Halicki), “Ojciec Mateusz” (Zygmunt Jakiewicz), “Faceci doduży” (senior cadet Stefan Makowski), “Na Wspólnej” (Danielewicz and Jurek Kamys) and “Klan” (Stanisław Kowalik, biological father of Maciek Lubicz). He played a pianist in the feature film “Bodo” directed by Michał Kwieciński and Michał Rosa (2016).
He appeared in seven Television Theatre performances, mainly in performances by Andrzej Strzelecki and Piotr Cieślak. He also took part in several Polish Radio Theatre radio plays directed by Waldemar Modestowicz and Jan Warenycia. (PAP)
