Kochi: After a gap of 36 years, ‘Ezhuthola’ is a film produced by famous actor Shankar. The film stars Shankar and Nisha Sarang in the lead roles and is written and directed by Suresh Unnikrishnan. At the age of 42, Shankar returns to filmmaking.
Shankar’s first film was ‘Chekkaranoru Chilla’ directed by Sibi Malayil in 1986. Shankar himself was the hero. Shankar returns to production under the banner of Osho Entertainments. Leading Malayalam actors are also starring in ‘Ezhuthola’, the first production venture of Oshio Entertainment.
‘Ezhuthola’ is about the education system and the changing curriculum. Now he will be active in acting as well as production. The intention is to make short films and documentaries along with the film, ”said Shankar. He has directed three films under the name Shankar Panicker. Shankar recently acted in Prithviraj’s ‘Bhramam’.
