One of the life stories that will grace the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games is that of Mexican-American actor Juan Pablo Medina, who will participate in the summer event after overcoming a health crisis in 2021.

Medina, a renowned actor known for his participation in productions such as “La Casa de las Flores”, “Soy Tu Fan” and “Las Juanas”, among others, will represent a major brand of sports prosthetics in Paris 2024 as part of the Mexican delegation.

Born in Virginia, United States, but naturalized Mexican, Juan Pablo Medina has inspired thousands of people after recovering from the amputation of his right leg three years ago due to a medical complication that led to thrombosis.

The actor’s manager, Triana Casados, confirmed via social media that Medina will participate in the Paralympic Games, which will begin on Wednesday, August 28.

“And again, like two years ago, we lived extraordinary days with extraordinary people and learned one more step. We went through a Running Clinic, but now we are going to @paralympics to represent @ottobock_latam. Congratulations @juan_pablomedina, there won’t be a better representative in Paris!” wrote the representative.

Before preparing for his trip to the French capital, Juan Pablo Medina ran a race to test the Otto Bock brand sports prosthesis and had the opportunity to spend time with the athlete and Paralympic medalist, Heinrich Popow.

“Thank you for allowing me to live this great experience and meet such beautiful people,” Medina wrote on social media after the unique experience.
