Actor JayasuryaThe effective criticism made in Kalamassery by putting the Agriculture Minister and the Industry Minister on the stage has turned into a political discussion today. Jayasuriya came as the chief guest during the meeting of farmers in Kalamassery. Looking at the ministers in the most respectful manner, he said, “There is much that is not logical in the statements you make.” Jayasurya also pointed out that you have to think for yourself to find the answer why the younger generation is not coming to agriculture. He recounted the story of his friend, actor Krishna Prasad, who did not get a price for the rice he sold to the government following the last harvest. He asked how young people would come to agriculture in this situation. He added that the youths are not running away from agriculture because of getting mud on their shirts, but because they are not getting the price for the products they produce.
