Actor Jayaram revealed the reason for taking a break from Malayalam for a year and a half. Jayaram says that he deliberately took a break for a good project and the wait was not in vain. Jayaram said that Abraham Osler directed by Mithun Manuel Thomas is a very promising film and this film will be his big comeback in Malayalam. He was speaking at a public event in Palakkad.
“For the past thirty-five years, I have been lucky enough to do a number of films with everyone’s love. Apart from Malayalam, I was lucky enough to act in many other languages. None of this will happen if we only think regarding it, these things have to come to us. Now he is doing some movies in Telugu. I have to arrive tomorrow morning to act with Mahesh Babu. After that the next film is with Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan. The movie is directed by Shankar. Vijay is doing a film with Devarakonda. ‘Ghost’ is coming in Kannada with Raj Kumar’s son Siva Rajkumar in the lead role.

The last one was done by Ponniyan Selvan in Tamil. Being able to act in that film that tells the history of Tamil with the legendary director Mani Ratnam is the greatest luck in life. I took a break from being in Malayalam for the last one and a half years. I wanted to do a good project and come back. My wait was not in vain, now I am doing Abraham Osler which is Mithun Manuel’s film following the hit film Achanam Pathira. It is a very promising film and its shooting is going on. Again and once more thanking everyone in the language of the heart. Wherever I go, mothers come and ask me if I’m fine, my heart fills with love.”- says Jayaram.
After Pattabhiraman in 2019, Jayaram is choosing Malayalam projects with great care. He stepped away from Malayalam cinema in 2020 and 21. In 2022, he appeared only in the film ‘Makal’ directed by Sathyan Anthikad. At the same time, seven films including Ponniyin Selvan and Ala Vaikunthapuramuloy were released by him in other languages.
