The Edmonton theater community is mourning the unexpected loss of actor Julien Arnold, who passed away on Sunday evening after experiencing a medical emergency while performing in a production of “A Christmas Carol” at the Citadel Theatre.

Tragic Incident Shocks Theater Community

Arnold, a beloved cast member and a familiar face on the Edmonton theater scene, was performing in the roles of Marley and Mr. Fezziwig when paramedics were called to the theater around 8:28 p.m. Despite attempts to revive him, Arnold died in the operating room.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Julien Arnold,” the Citadel Theatre said in a statement. “A beloved member of the Edmonton theater community, Julien was a gifted performer whose charisma and talent graced our stage in countless productions, including ‘A Christmas Carol,'”
