Kozhikode: Actor and director Joy Mathew reacted to the incident where the men’s association gave a reception to the accused who was arrested and released on bail for performing nudity on a KSRTC bus. Joy Mathew’s response was to mock women’s organizations and political parties.
Joy Mathew wrote on Facebook that we can be proud of the fact that in this country where there are revolutionary women’s organizations in all political parties and there are many different varieties of feminism in a lot of organizations, there is not a single prominent woman.
‘What surprises me most is that there are no single mothers with daughters who have gone to eliminate these types of hypocrisy in Kerala, where there are literary and cultural heroes such as useless pieces of meat’ – Joy Mathew said. The accused Savad, who was released from jail last day, was welcomed by the men’s association in front of the Aluva jail with flower garlands.
This issue was discussed in a big way including on social media. The complainant had informed that she would face this move legally. The complainant had earlier responded to the media that she and her friends were facing cyber attacks related to the issue.
‘If he accepted the garland when he came out following proving that he had not done any of this, it would be fine. When he was released on bail, he was told that we are with him. Why are you with? For 20 days, I and my friends were slandered on social media accounts. This is what I got for responding’, said the complainant.
Responding to the incident, Minister V Sivankutty came forward. Minister V Sivankutty posted on social media that whoever received the garland is with the girl who responded to the violence on the bus. The issue was widely discussed on social media. Many people have come forward denying the accused Savad and supporting the girl.
