Greta Thunberg, Vanessa Nakate, Helena Gualinga lead a conversation on climate activism at the Théâtre du Châtelet on June 22, 2023.
Climate activists Greta Thunberg, Vanessa Nakate et Helena Gualinga will be the main speakers in an important conversation entitled “Activism Moves the Lineswhich will be held in Paris on June 22, 2023. This event, which will take place at Chatelet Theaterwill highlight the power of climate activism and its critical role in shaping the relationship between activists and leaders.
This event, organized by Kite Insights et silence paris, will explore not only the vital importance of activism, but also the different ways in which activism can be integrated into all areas of society and economic sectors. It will also explore the forms of activism needed to secure a safe and equitable future.
The event will be punctuated by two discussions in English. The first one, ACTIVISM WORKS, from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., will explore the changing dynamics between climate activists and leaders. Moderated by Harjeet Singh, with opening remarks by Camille Etiennethis discussion will highlight the importance of climate activism.
The second talk, PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST, from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., will be a question-and-answer session bringing together only climate activists. Moderated by Laurence Tubiana, with opening remarks by Greta Thunbergthis session will focus on the role of people and their commitment to activism to fight climate change.
The event is organized on the occasion of the Summit for a new global financial pact, initiated by Emmanuel Macron, with the aim of reforming climate finance. “Activism Moves Lines” will bring together a group of climate activists and leading leaders to discuss the power of activism.
