The provinces of currents, Black river Y Missions recorded today active foci of forest fireswhich were fought by brigade members with the support of hydrant planes, reported the National Fire Management Service (SNMF), under the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
According to the agency’s daily report, in Corrientes they remain six active bulbs in the towns of Concepción III, San Miguel, Curuzú Cuatiá, Ituzaingó, Santo Tomé and Loreto, while the brigade members managed to contain the flames in Concepción II and Mercedes.
Four hydrant planes and a helicopter from the agency were deployed there, together with 93 brigade members and support personnel summoned by the SNMF and National Parks.
In addition, two fire engines and support mobiles are operating and the agency anticipated the possibility of adding two new hydrant planes to fight fires in the region and 45 brigade members called for this work.
Meanwhile, in Río Negro, the fires continue in the Lago Mart Complexín, in the Bariloche area, while in the province of Misiones the fire affects Guaraní and San Ignacio.
The SNMF finally reported that the fires were “contained” in the Neuquén town of Aluminé, that is, the advance of the fire was stopped, and “extinguished” in San Martín, Belgrano and Ayacucho, in the province of San Luis, by what “the line of control has been definitively established, anchored and secured and it is considered that there is no possibility of regrowth,” according to the report.
