The competition for the most family-friendly businesses in Vienna reached its finale on October 19th with the award ceremony in the Ringturm of the Wiener Städtische

Vienna (OTS) The submission deadline for the “Vienna’s most family-friendly company” competition, which was once once more held by the Hildegard Burjan Institute (Club alpha), ended at the end of June. An expert and prominent jury honored organizations for initiatives in the area of compatibility in five categories. Small, medium-sized and large companies as well as non-profit organizations and public institutions described their measures using a questionnaire. In personal interviews, the organizations were given the opportunity to talk regarding the successes of their initiatives.

The competition for the most family-friendly company in Vienna gives organizations that have anchored family friendliness in their corporate culture the opportunity to showcase their measures for a better work-life balance and to act as role models to motivate other companies to reflect on their measures in this area and to deepen. In particular, the issue of father involvement in family management is increasingly coming into focus when it comes to family-friendly measures. But flexible working time models, maternity leave and re-entry, further training opportunities, support with care responsibilities and caring for family members are also examined.

When employees feel their needs are recognized and integrated, they are prepared to perform at high levels. Today’s workers know their talents, are well trained, enjoy working in teams and know that they have to redefine levels of prosperity. They require your own development space in the organization. Whether an organization fits your personal attitude and individual values is essential for performance. The organization’s sense of purpose and its attitude behind it is considered a barometer for its attractiveness as an employer.

On October 19, 2023, the presentation and award of the winning companies took place in a celebratory setting in the Ringturm of the Städtische VIG on Schottenring.

Maria Rauch-Kallat, responsible for the competition in Vienna, as well as chairwoman of Club alpha and Margarete Kriz-Zwittkovits, vice president and chairwoman of women in business, introduced the evening’s content.

Kasia Greco, one of our alpha experts, skilfully led the event.
