action resumes with the fifth stage

After the rest day following the dispute of the fourth quarter between Luis Beltrán and Choele Choel, today the Río Negro International Regatta resumes with the start of the fifth set of the seven that the 2023 edition has.

The starting point will be at the Bacciadone Rural Establishment, located on Route 250, at kilometer 147. It will leave at 10 in the morning and the arrival will be at the General Conesa Municipal Spa.

The distance will be 40 kilometers and it is estimated that the first ones will be completing the partial around 12:30.
The time spent last year by the senior K2 commanded by Damián Pinta and Facundo Lucero, the winners of the 2022 edition, was 2h31m02s.

The general classification is headed by the Neuquén brothers Franco and Dardo Balboa, who have won two of the four stages disputed so far. In second place are Manuel Garaycochea (Concordia) together with Sebastián Vergauven (Viedma) and third are the French Quentin Urban and Jeremy Candy.

The organization informed that the buoyancy control for the boats will be between 8:00 and 9:30.
On the same day, a reception dinner is planned for the competitors and their crew at the La Ribera Yacht Club in Viedma.

On Saturday the seventh and last partial will be run from San Javier to the beach of the paddlers, on the Viedma waterfront. Once the competition is over, the protocol ceremony of awarding and closing of the event will take place.
