En 1954, according to the film by British director Alfred Hitchock, Le Crime was almost perfect
. In 2023, the Brussels Court of Appeal has just concluded this Wednesday that “the robbery of the century” committed, on February 18, 2013, on a Swiss plane and a Brink’s van by eight masked and armed individuals on the tarmac from Brussels-National airport to Zaventem was indeed perfect. And for good reason, the court acquitted all the defendants, as had done before it, at first instance, the criminal court. This theft of 37 million diamonds and gold bars will therefore go unpunished forever. A court decision which also marks the failure of an investigation which had been deployed throughout Europe.
