It is only the second time that the feat has been achieved in thirty years. Plénitude, Arnaud Donckele’s table nestled on the first floor of La Samaritaine and opened less than six months ago, has gone from one table without a star… to 3 all of a sudden. Or the class definition.
The 2022 Michelin guide stars were awarded on Tuesday March 22 in Charente. If several chefs have been rewarded, the ultimate feat goes to Arnaud Donckele, the only one who has already achieved the feat was Yannick Alléno in 2015 for the Ledoyen Pavilion (8th). This is his second three-star establishment since Donckele is also the chef of La Vague d’or, in Saint-Tropez. À la carte at Plénitude, a tasting menu at €350 in an intimate restaurant with only 26 seats, with a view of the Seine. And a good deal of sauces, since the menu has more than 80 different ones!
Other Parisian restaurants have also been rewarded. This is the case of Matthias Marc who won his first star with Substance (8th), as did Victor Mercier with FIEF (11th) or Jean Imbert with the Plaza Athénée (8th).
