Taiwanese PC manufacturer Acer is launching a new version of the Swift Go 16 Pro. The 16-inch notebook with OLED display is now available in a black aluminum design.

Acer is relaunching the Swift Go 16 Pro. The manufacturer from Taiwan is launching its 16-inch notebook in a Black Edition, i.e. with a matt black aluminum chassis.

The 14.9 millimeter thick housing houses a 16-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3.2k and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. The OLED panel achieves a peak brightness of 500 nits, 100 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, as the manufacturer reports.

Inside is an Intel Core i7-13620H; 32 GB LPDDR5 is available as RAM. Also on board is a PCIe Gen 4 SSD with 1 TB – the data storage can optionally be upgraded to 2 TB.

The manufacturer promises a battery life of up to ten hours. The Windows 11 Pro operating system supports Copilot, Windows’ AI assistant.

In terms of connectivity, the notebook offers HDMI 2.1, a micro SD card reader and two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 – both with fast charging function and a USB Type-A port with offline charging function.

The 1440p webcam with temporal noise reduction (TNR) delivers high-quality video feedback even in poor lighting conditions and ensures clear audio signals in conferences, the statement continues.

With the Swift Go 16 Pro, Acer wants to particularly appeal to school students and employees working from home. The new version in matt black is expected to go on sale in April. The manufacturer recommends an end customer price of 1,199 francs for the basic version.

By the way, Acer also presented new Aspire series and 3D screens at CES 2024. Read more here.
