These indiscretions caused an uproar on social networks, which immediately demanded explanations from the principal concerned. To silence his detractors and prove that he does not cheat, Alan FoodChallenge had therefore made an appointment with his community this Sunday for a live broadcast on Twitch. His challenge: to eat five “gigatacos” in real conditions, which still represents regarding 16 (!) kilos of food.

Tens of thousands of people watched his live video, even peaking at 100,000 people. But unfortunately for him, following a gigatacos and a half, the Youtuber announced that he was giving up. “Well, I’m going to disappoint you, I’m going to stop there…”, he let go. What reinforce the opinion of its detractors.

”Five gigatacos is impossible”

Aware that this abandonment was undoubtedly going to cost him dearly for his image, Alan FoodChallenge admitted that he had manipulated certain videos. But not all. “Out of 450 YouTube videos, I’ll be honest with you, there are three fakes,” he admitted on Sunday. “I think you know, it’s an impossible thing to do, which is huge, which weighs 16 kg […] so the 5 gigatacos video, indeed, there was a cut over two days: I started in the evening and I finished the next day”, he continues.

As for the video behind the revelations, he explained why he hadn’t told the truth, at the time of publication six months ago. “I had made a video in which I had been sick in the middle of filming. For once, as it had been a product placement […] I had to make the video and cheat a bit,” he says, indicating that it “pissed him off” that he had to do it that way.

And to conclude: “Anyway, the challenge videos, nope. I don’t like it anymore.” The start of a… forced reconversion?
