The French Armed Forces on their page on the social network also made accusations against Russian pilots in Syria of “unsafe interaction”

Moscow. July 7th INTERFAX.RU – The CNN TV channel, citing the US Air Force, for the second time in two days, issued accusations against Russian pilots in Syria, claiming that they carried out “unsafe maneuvers against American drones.”

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Alex Grinkevich, in a statement, claims that on Thursday, an American MQ-9 Reaper drone was on a mission to destroy ISIS targets (ISIS, a terrorist group, banned in Russia – IF) in Syria as Russian fighter jets approached. According to Grinkevich, “one of the Russian planes began to drop parachute flares in front of the American drone, forcing it to take evasive maneuvers.”

In turn, the French armed forces on their social network page also made accusations against Russian pilots, claiming that Russian Su-35 fighters “interacted unprofessionally” with two French Rafale fighters who were on a mission near the Iraqi-Syrian border on Thursday.

According to the French military, their fighters “were forced to maneuver to avoid the risk of an accident.”

Meanwhile, the Russian military accused the US-led coalition of violating the borders of an area in Syria closed to flights due to Russian-Syrian aviation exercises.

“Systematic violations of deconfliction protocols related to the flights of unmanned aerial vehicles of the so-called International Anti-Terrorist Coalition continue,” Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian center for reconciliation of warring parties in Syria, said on Thursday.

“During the day, nine violations were recorded. All in the area closed to air flights in connection with the joint Russian-Syrian exercise in northern Syria,” he said.

“Of particular concern are the facts of the influence of American UAV electronic guidance systems recorded by the pilots of the Russian Aerospace Forces during the exercise of the exercises, which lead to the automatic operation of the onboard defense systems of Russian aircraft,” Gurinov said.

Earlier, the Russian military reported that on July 5, six-day Russian-Syrian aviation exercises began in Syria. According to them, during the maneuvers, it is planned to work out joint actions of aviation, air defense forces and electronic warfare in repelling air strikes.
