Alternating clearings and cloudy areas will punctuate Saturday followingnoon, which should generally remain dry even if a few showers might escape in the Ardennes and the north of the country. The thermometer will not climb higher than 13°C in Hautes Fagnes and 17 to 18°C in the plains, predicts the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). The wind will blow moderately, except at sea where it will sometimes be quite strong.
Large clearings will cover the country in the evening while the night will pass under high clouds. Mist, fog and clouds might appear, especially in upper Belgium. Scarves will be necessary to properly cover the lymph nodes while the MRI announces that the mercury might drop towards 0°C in certain Ardennes valleys. In other regions, minimums will oscillate between 6 and 10°C.
Sunday, the day will start under the sun, except in upper Belgium where you will first have to wait for the morning gray to dissipate. A few high altitude sails or harmless cumulus clouds will occasionally adorn the blue sky. The maximums will range from 15 degrees on the heights of the Ardennes to locally 20 degrees in the plains. The wind will most often be moderate from the south.
In the evening, the sky will be almost clear. During the night from Sunday to Monday, high clouds will roll in from the west. The minimums will be between 5 degrees in the Ardennes and 12 degrees in the plains, under a moderate south to southeast wind. On the heights of the Ardennes, it might sometimes even be quite strong.
Monday, the weather will initially be sunny with high altitude sails. During the followingnoon, cloudiness will increase from the west. A few drops will even be possible on the coast where the clouds will be the most numerous. The maxima will vary from 17 degrees in Haute Ardennes to 21 degrees in Campine. The wind will be weak to moderate from the south.
Mardi, the weather will remain dry with sunshine and high clouds. The maximums will be between 18 degrees in Hautes-Fagnes and 22 or even locally 23 degrees in the plains. The wind will generally be moderate from the south.
Wednesday, the day will begin with sunshine veiled by high clouds. Then the cloud cover will gradually thicken from the west. By late followingnoon or evening, rain might already fall in the west and northwest of the country. The maximum temperatures will be between 18 and 22 degrees under a moderate southerly wind strengthening significantly in the evening.
Thursday and Friday, different areas of rain and showers will cross our regions with sustained wind, interspersed with dry and calmer periods. The maxima will oscillate between 14 and 19 degrees.
