Judge Jorge Chávez Támariz authorized the seizure of the bank, financial and stock accounts of the leader of Free Peruthe former governor of Junín Vladimir Cerronand his mother, the retired teacher Bertha Rojas, for the investigation into the alleged illegal financing of electoral campaigns. The total amount seized exceeds S/3 million.
The magistrate, head of the Sixth National Preparatory Investigation Court, accepted the request made by the prosecutor Richard Rojas Gómez, from the Third Office of the First Supraprovincial Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Money Laundering Crimes, which in his working hypothesis investigates the existence of a criminal organization within the party that brought Pedro Castillo to the presidency.
According to the judicial resolution, to which El Comercio agreed, prosecutor Rojas will proceed to deliver the millionaire sum to the National Program of Seized Assets (Pronabi).
