Yannopoulos shared this information in an interview with CHOI Radio Xadding that the group in question would have businessman Michael Fortier in its ranks.

“We are not talking regarding an expansion for today, but Commissioner Adam Silver has indicated that perhaps in two years we might open discussions with several cities that would be good candidates to host a team”, continued subsequently the basketball analyst.

Yannopoulos also indicated that he had been in contact with the right arm of the commissioner of the NBA, Mark A. Tatum and this one confirmed that there had been discussions regarding Montreal with the interested group.

“He replied that Montreal was a fantastic basketball city. They are in contact with the group that wants to bring the team to Montreal,” said Yannopoulos during the interview.
