The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity has set up an accommodation platform for the inhabitants of the Toulkine douar, located at an altitude of 1,700 meters, in the rural commune of Azgour in the province of Al Haouz , affected by the earthquake of September 8.
This new solidarity initiative, launched on Wednesday by the Foundation, in partnership with Renault Groupe Maroc, is part of the interventions carried out on the ground for the benefit of residents of regions affected by the earthquake.
This humanitarian action, which also takes place as part of the outpouring of solidarity with the populations of the disaster areas, aims to provide safe and durable housing to affected families.
These are 44 maritime transport containers transformed into accommodation equipped with beds, kitchen equipment and cleaning products for the benefit of 220 people, including 12 widows, 14 elderly people and families whose members are people in need. disability, in addition to 4 toilet blocks and two teaching classes in a primary school in this douar located 45 km from Amizmiz.
In a statement to the press on this occasion, Souad Boulouiz, project manager at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, explained that this initiative, which is in addition to previous interventions undertaken on the ground by the Foundation, tends to highlight places an accommodation platform for the benefit of the most vulnerable families in the douar.
And to add that as part of a partnership with all the stakeholders and its partners, the Foundation has provided and equipped these accommodations with all the necessary supplies to guarantee appropriate living conditions for the beneficiaries, in accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aiming to meet the needs of the affected populations.
The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity had previously carried out, with the assistance of other partner institutions, similar initiatives, notably in the rural commune of Talat N’Yacoub, she recalled.
